Best Supporting Actress

Animal Planet It takes a few listens through to really begin to feel the immense pain in the lyrics. The album crescendos in "Like I have Lived a Thousand Lives", both in instrumental, and in lyrics. There's a beat of acceptance. Acceptance not just of what's now in the past, but how much it hurts, with hope being all that's left. Love continues after goodbye. Favorite track: Like I Have Lived A Thousand Lives.

Found my vista Found my light in your eyes Every morning Just you, me, and the skies But now I'm coming up empty Fumbling my steps Wondering if maybe You knew how dark it would get And you used to leave a light on For me, my love But now you're gone Sometimes I'm high and I forget How hard I fall when the sun sets Oh and I blame it on the hills Oh, I blame it on the hills in this town On the hills in this town Now I'm lower Reluctant feet back on the ground Moving slower Guessing movement by the sound You used to leave a light on For me, my love But now you're gone Sometimes I'm high and I forget How hard I fall when the sun sets Oh and I blame it on the hills Oh, I blame it on the hills in this town On the hills in this town There's something between me and the sun I stumble through my shadows and run We said goodbye Now what have I done? Was there always something? Something between me and the sun I stumble through my shadows and run We said goodbye They say, "What have you done?" Was there always something? Something between me and the sun? You used to leave a light on For me, my love But now you're gone Sometimes I'm high and I forget How hard I fall You used to leave a light on For me, my love But now you're gone Sometimes I'm high and I recall That in the light, I have it all Oh and I blame it on the hills Oh, I blame it on the hills in this town Oh and I blame it on I blame it on I blame it all On the hills in this town Alone on the hill Staring up Nothing stands Between me and the sun

Rings 03:05
I've got rings on all my fingers And tattoos on my feet I'm finding dreams that long have left me Back in the space where he used to sleep Fifty cents worth of sensibility And I'll buy myself a beer I find romance in my loneliness I find wisdom in my years Count my rings Oh, I count my rings Count my rings (Rings on all my fingers) Count my rings (Rings on all my fingers) Oh, I count my rings I've got rings on all my fingers And good luck on my palms I'm met with boundless generosity And new ways to stay calm They say, "A penny for your thoughts" Hand me sand dollars and dimes I stopped listening to love songs I learn new words all the time Count my rings Oh, I count my rings Count my rings (Rings on all my fingers) Count my rings (Rings on all my fingers) Oh, I count my rings Rings on all my fingers I've got rings on all my fingers Rings on all my fingers On all my fingers Rings on all my fingers And new songs on my lips I wore my shoes out trying to find him Got them resoled Now they fit I'm ready for some walking On my own, I just might run I'm not singing by myself, oh no I'm singing to the sun Count my rings Oh, I count my rings Count my rings (Rings on all my fingers) Count my rings (Rings on all my fingers) Count my rings (Rings on all my fingers) Count my rings (Rings on all my fingers) Oh, I count my rings

Roses 03:13
I look out my window And watch the snowfall turn to rain And I look for the moment When I'll hold your hand again From behind my piano In the days that you've been gone I hear whispers through the thorns Of when to bloom and for how long Will the roses bloom a second round for you? Will the roses bloom a second round for you? People say they won't But I know better than to hold on I look out my window And watch the sunrise turn to day And I look for the moment When I'll catch hold of your name From behind my kitchen table In the time you've been away I hear sunlight coax her petals But can't convince them all to stay Will the roses bloom a second round for you? Will the roses bloom a second round for you? People say they never do But they have never heard All that the roses say about you Now just outside my window The lilacs waltz and twirl And the marigolds turn to butterscotch My tears to strings of pearls The willows all invite me out The lilies sing and hum My life's alight in wonder While my world is all undone But the roses Look, the roses All for you Yes the roses bloomed a second round All for you

I don't need sugar Oh, no, no I don't need sugar And I don't need tomorrow When it's forever Sunday Sunday, Sunday She's sweet like Sunday Sunday, Sunday She's sweet like Sunday Sunday, Sunday Sunday Sunday She said Baby, you can sleep as long as you like Feeling lazy, but it looks good on you Looks like it fits you just right Oh Sunday Sunday, Sunday She's sweet like Sunday Sunday, Sunday She's sweet like Sunday Sunday, Sunday Sunday Sunday Sunday

The wind blows off the lake It chills your bones Veins of velvet undergo a change Like girls born in October Anchored on the cusp of good old days I find it strange You didn't fall in love With women from all over Do you get enough moonlight In your big city Or do you fight over The pull back to our hometown Grateful you're not on your own now Do you get enough moonlight In your big city Or do my memories stare you down Were we in love long ago? Are you someone I still know? He signs his letters Love Love From Chicago Correspondence never was your strength I hear you're going to great lengths To write new stories All your own You ask if I remember her You're acting like a prisoner It's all there in your signature Do you get enough sunlight Between the skyscrapers' reminders of The heights to which you both aspire Her heights you always did admire Are you proud of how you've grown up Gone away just to come home And back for her Were we strangers in our day? Was I standing in your way? What's that valediction say? He signs his letters Love Love From Chicago He signs his letters Love Love From Chicago Have you loved her all this time? Were you ever even mine? Love From Chicago So you can keep your love Love From Chicago Go on Keep your love From Chicago Still signing letters Love Love From Chicago Love Love from Chicago Love From Chicago You can keep your love Love From Chicago Love From Chicago You can keep your love

I don't remember what we fought about Hope I'm remembering what's true I don't remember any trace of doubt I just remember loving you We were children when we said goodbye We were children when we met With every kiss we felt the vastness of our lives I think that's something you forget Your new lover was a friend of mine But young girls grow up and apart Your affections were too bold to hide And I knew you loved her from the start And when I think of you together now A bitter feeling fades away She is your echo of eternity And I hope you marry her someday But I will write Songs about our love until the day I die And when I die I will sing like I have lived a thousand lives And I will find you somewhere In these melodies The first of many sacred loves to come to me And someday when you hear this song of mine And you sift through our memories When you see again the creek and fireflies Our hometown through hazel eyes Hope you remember what I see Hope you remember honestly Hope you remember I hope you remember loving me

Sweet Anna 02:48
View through bluest eyes In the spotlight center stage Surely cannot hold a candle to The view from Heaven's gates I regret again I missed just when The lights began to fade Sweet Anna's got the best seat in the house Tonight she's in the balcony A box seat shared with God Where she watches and she listens For her moments to applaud Actors train to hide their secrets But she's free from old facades Sweet Anna's got the best seat in the house And I'm not jealous I'm not angry But it's not what she deserves Sweet Anna's got the best seat in the house From the seat of the designer Is how it's all meant to be seen Maybe she still hears the echoes Of the glorious "Let There Be" Let there be lights And sets and costumes And Shakespeare's poetry Sweet Anna's got the best seat in the house And I'm not jealous I'm not angry But it's not what she deserves I've not stayed weeping since they told me I am steeping in the hurt Don't call me mad Or apathetic I am reaching for the words Sweet Anna's got the best seat in the house Sweet Anna's got the best seat in the house Sweet Anna Desperate voices throw me blame Sweet Anna I'll sing to honor all your pain Sweet Anna I lay it down But I still feel it in your name I regret again I missed just when The lights began to fade Sweet Anna

about

Grace Leckey's debut folk rock album Best Supporting Actress covers a wide range of coming-of-age reflections, from the bittersweet shifting of childhood relationships recounted in “Like I Have Lived A Thousand Lives,” to the joy of newfound independence described in “Rings,” to the confusing, dark heartbreak of losing friends and collaborators to mental illness, as told in “Sweet Anna,” which is dedicated to Anna Doyle, Rameet Singh, all young creatives who lost their lives to mental illness, and the people who love them.
